Fern is a 2016 14h flaxen chestnut New Forest Pony bred by Lesley Feakins.  She is the foundation mare for my breeding program.  Fern is the total package: unbeatable temperament, lovely to ride, sound and healthy.  Her beauty and movement is only surpassed by her sweet nature.  Fern has 3 good gaits, with the canter being a highlight.  She is forward thinking, easy on the bit and nicely balanced.  She is not spooky and has absolutely no naughty behavior, even as a young pony. She produced a lovely filly in 2020 and is now beginning her show career.  In 2022 Fern competed in both training level and first level, with scores to 73%.  She will remain open in 2023 to continue focusing on her training.

My first homebred and daughter of Forrest Fern.  Wren is a 2020 14h bay New Forest Pony bred by Emily Black here at Poplar Ponies.  This cross is tried and true, we are very pleased with the result.  Wren is a great all-around pony with a friendly attitude and high trainability. She loves being around people.  She inherited her sire's intelligence and sense of humor, while keeping her mother's kind demeanor.  Physically, Wren has 3 correct gaits, an active hind leg and an amazing free shoulder which should produce some nice extensions! Wren will be started under saddle in 2023.

Pearl is an imported 2020 14.2h New Forest Pony bred by Kantje's New Forest Ponies in the Netherlands.  Pearl is a wonderful balance of a more modern New Forest while retaining the traditional features we love about the breed.  Physically, she has long legs and a shorter back which produces more natural suspension than you typically see.  However, she still has really good bone and a solid build.  Her temperament is excellent, sweet and gentle.  She comes from a long line of sport ponies and is a full sibling to approved stallion Kantje's Only.  Pearl will be started under saddle in 2023.
